I know the song is really targeted toward Monday night football but as close as we are to the season I couldn't resist it. I had to put it right behind our beloved Trojan Fight Song. Only two weeks from today will be the Game of the Year for the Trojans.

Go Trojans!!!!!!!! We love you and can't wait until Thursday night and especially Saturday, September 12th!!!!!

Football Season is Here!

Trojan Fans. Tonight was the first night of High School Football and College Football season begins next week. I thought in honor of our beloved Trojans I would post some pics of our stadium. The first home game is scheduled for Saturday, September 19th. Hope to see lots of folks there.

Only Two Weeks Away

Hello Trojan Fans. For those of us leaving for Gainesville on Friday we are only two weeks away! I can't wait. What better way to be excited than to get the tickets today! WOOHOO!!!! I knew the minute Sandy walked in my office what it was I got really excited. So excited she made the comment, "Well, if she is this excited about this envelope (she didn't know what was in it) imagine what she is going to do if we ever win the lottery!!! Well, I would like to re-word that and say "WHEN WE WIN THE LOTTERY." Hopefully, it will be tonight as Georgia's lottery is $325 million! Oh, what a trip to Gainesville that would be.

Everyone is getting excited and of course, I have already started packing. I'm looking forward to seeing familiar Trojan friends (no, I wouldn't say old) and meeting new ones. This is going to be a trip to remember.

Another Item to Bring

Hello Trojan fans. Well as I've been flying through my very busy week I remembered that I left off one important item to bring on the trip.

Don't forget to bring the Alumni Association membership card. You will need it to go to the tailgate tent in Gainesville or you can pay $5.00. For those interested in membership let me know. I don't know how long it will take to get the cards but I will check to see if they will have a list of members at the tent.

We are getting closer to our departure date even as Bill moves closer and gets stronger. Let's continue to pray that Hurricane Bill will continue as the tracking map suggests and there will not be any loss of lives are destructions.

Another Storm

Good evening Trojan fans. With the storms brewing it brings back bittersweet memories of last year when I was on vacation and anxiously awaiting the arrival of Hurricane Gustav and where he would land. Trying to decide if I should stay on vacation or return home was a difficult decision especially with the stress of personal issues that were as well brewing or perculating on high! Well, then after seeing where it was heading and being shocked that it would head straight to Baton Rouge where our beloved Trojans would play hit hard. Our hearts were heavy for those involved. As you may remember, our game was postponed due to the destruction in Baton Rouge. I would like to ask all Trojan fans to pray for everyone who may be in the path of not one or two but three of the storms that are brewing right now. Pray for their safety and that the strength of these storms will weaken before making it to shore.

Well dinner is gone and the recipe is perfect for GATOR MEAT!!!! Get ready Gators here we come!!!!

Trying out some new recipes

Hello Trojan fans. I'm in Headland and we are trying out a new marianade for our tailgating adventures. We are grilling steaks and having potatoes, rolls and dessert. I understand this new basting sauce goes very well with GATOR MEAT! I'll be back later with the details.

Football Season 2009

Okay Trojan Fans! I received my season tickets for the home games today and I'm so excited. The past year has been a complete rollercoaster for me so I'm so looking forward to a wonderful football season without any drama! For those that know me personally know about the drama. Anyway, on to the football season 2009. Plans are in place and we are ready for our trip to the SWAMP!!!!!! I'll be back in the next few days posting items to bring and those to be sure you don't forget. Can't wait to see everyone in Gainesville.

Trip Update

Hello Trojan Fans. We still have some seats available on the bus trip to Gainesville. If you know of someone that wants to go have them contact me. It will be a fun trip. They can contact me at troytailgating@gmail.com

I'm working on the list of items to bring and finalizing the details. We are all getting excited. I know I am especially after our yard sale. It makes it so much better.

We will depart Friday morning. I will have a pickup in Headland and one in Dothan and can accomodate for other areas if we need to on our way down if there are folks in other areas that can meet us on our trip route.

Also, remember a change has been made in the tailgate areas. To enter the tailgate area you must have your Troy Alumni membership card or pay $5.00 at the gate. You will want to go to the Troy Tailgate area. It's lots of fun and you are surrounded by Trojan fans. You might even see some college friends.

Don't forget to pass the word around about our trip to others wanting to go with us. We will have great time.

Sorry this post isn't too exciting but I have had a Monday. I'm working on another Slide Show with pics from LSU and the New Orleans Bowl. If you have any you would like me to include - email them to me. I'd love to add more pics especially from LSU.

Florida Yard Sale - A Success

Hello Trojan fans. Our Florida Yard Sale for our annual trip fund has been pinned a success. We had 20 cars lined up waiting to shop and the closer to 7 A.M. it got they lined up at the side walk. We sold lots of stuff. I just had someone stop by and pick up their goodies and buy more. Yippee. Thank you for the attendees to our Florida yard sale and I hope you enjoy everything and will want to come back and shop again next year for our annual football yard sale. Don't know the name of it yet but we will definitely have one.
