Day 1 started out early for me as I'm sure all Trojan fans leaving on Friday. The bus arrived in Headland at 10 A.M. (thirty minutes early) and in Dothan around 10:45 A.M. We left Dothan around 11:30 A.M. and headed toward Crestview for our last pick up. The ride down was so much fun. Troy University's Head Majorette's Mom Melita and her Grandmother Dot were on board the bus. We had a picture of the band along with lots of Troy items including everyone's favorite can huggies. Although some of us had our faithful "Troy State" huggies we still supported our team.
We stopped in Crestview for the last pick up. This gave some a chance for McDonalds and Subway while others made a last minute shopping trip for Pineapple Juice, Gloves, Ear Muffs, etc..... to keep us all warm for the game Saturday night.
Several played Phase 10, while others napped, talked, watched movies and had dreams of winning $13.6 million at the Casino that night.
We arrived in Biloxi at our hotel and we all got checked into our rooms. We split as some were hungry for food while others were hungry for gambling. We had some playing slots while others played craps and some even played Roulette.
I think the latest anyone stayed up was around 11:30 P.M. and that was me. My cousin Becky and her sister Robin drove down from Slidell to visit. That was a lot of fun watching them play craps and roulette. I have no clue as to how to play so I just watched.
I retired to the room around 11:30 and didn't see any other Trojan fans for the rest of the night. All of the Trojans fans fell asleep and had dreams of Trojan Sugar Plums dancing in their head. As their dreams played out the Mighty Trojans danced across the goal line in "Death Valley" to show LSU Tigers that Troy University Trojans are Mighty Warriors and are a force to be reckoned with.
Dreams continued through the night.
Volume 2 to come.
Good night Trojans! We love you ALL!!!!
